PT Academy is a UK fitness education company founded in 2009. We deliver Ofqual-regulated Level 2, 3 and 4 personal training and fitness qualifications with active personal trainers as mentors, assessors and tutors. We've graduated over 84,000 learners and have 280+ venues across the UK.

As soon as you've completed the application and paid your first payment, a £99 deposit. Your enrolment team will confirm your start date.

You sign an emailed document electronically, which is returned automatically. We then send your course documents and your enrolment team confirms start dates and your payment plan.

If you're starting from scratch, take a diploma, which includes Level 2 and Level 3. If you hold Level 2, take the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training. If you're already a PT, add a Level 4 specialism.

Not for Level 2 or our diplomas. Level 3 on its own requires a valid Ofqual-regulated Level 2 fitness or gym instructing qualification.

You work through units at your own pace and submit them for marking and feedback. Then you book your practical assessment with your mentor or an assessor, or attend an assessment day. Which route you use depends on your package.

That's up to you. There's no set timeframe, so you can move quickly or fit it around work and family.

On a mentored route, you arrange meetings with your mentor around your diary. On Online with Support routes you can join optional development days.

Once you've passed and paid in full. Certificates are issued by an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation.

Yes. You can complete your remaining units with us and pay only for the units you still need. We apply accredited prior learning to units you've already completed.

Everything is completed in our learning app: theory assessments and case studies, plus a practical assessment in a gym. You get feedback along the way, and resits are free.

Your practical assessment takes place in a gym with the equipment you'll use as a trainer: one-to-one with your mentor, at an assessment day, or recorded in a gym and sent to your assessor.

Assessment days are held at PT Academy national training centres. Online with Support learners can attend one to take their practical. See dates and locations.

Resits are free. We were the first to offer them.

It depends on the route. The Level 3 Certificate is £699 (£499 Online with Support), the Gold Diploma is £999 and bundles start at £999. See all courses and prices.

A flat £99 secures your place. Your enrolment team then confirms your start date and payment plan.

Yes. Payment plans are 0% interest. Selected offers need no guarantor and no credit check.

We built our own learning platform. You work through lessons, submit work, message your mentor, track streaks and badges and download your certificate, on any phone, tablet or laptop. See the platform.
