For trainers,by trainers.
PT Academy began in 2009 with one idea: the best person to teach a personal trainer is a personal trainer.
The idea thatchanged everything.
Back then, fitness education meant classrooms, lecturers and long weekends away from the gym. We did it differently. We were the first education company to use active trainers as mentors, assessors and tutors.
Your tutor works with real clients, in a real gym, in your region. They've faced the problems you're about to face, so they know what actually matters. That idea has grown into the UK's largest fitness education company, with more than 84,000 graduates.
And we kept building. We were the first to offer free resits and 0% interest payment plans, and we built our own learning platform so studying feels like part of your training, not a chore.
What webelieve.
Learn from people doing the job
Active trainers as mentors, assessors and tutors. Experience you can't get from a textbook.
Open to everyone
Qualifications should be accessible to people from all backgrounds, so we keep prices fair and payment plans interest-free.
Raise the standard
New ways of learning, high-quality graduates and a better industry. We were a finalist for Education Programme of the Year at the ukactive Awards 2026.
In theirwords.
I absolutely loved studying for my personal training course with PT Academy.
This course with PT Academy is one of the best decisions I have made.
So glad I chose PT Academy to enhance my understanding of health and fitness.
